"'quillentis' was composed predominantly by re-sampling experimentative jams recorded with various MIDI plugins like Kontakt and Europa, which were performed using a touch-based midi controller software called TC-Data. This software allows the user to connect or "map" sonic parameters in a virtual synth to touches and/or gestures on a tablet. TC-Data gives the performer the ability to create unique textures, timbres, and rhythms on the fly, manipulating potentially hundreds of parameters simultaneously, while simply tapping or dragging fingers around a touchscreen. The bubbly and rambling lead instrument in our song 'quillentis' is the most interesting product of our experimentations with this software to date, and we think it's pretty cool. This album is great. more smooth jazz and vibes and funky beats. A great one to check out. Thoroughly enjoyable even if it doesn't reach the same heights as the Blue/red album, the purple album or the green album, it's still solid. Stand out track is "David Madden" brettblrr
